The Brief

Hays Travel had a wealth of data relating to their business but it was fragmented across multiple systems, making it difficult to get a clear, single view of customers, sales, and business performance. Decision-making relied on manual reports, and teams lacked confidence in the accuracy of these reports. The company wanted to use data more effectively - not just for hindsight (what happened) but also for insight (why it happened) and foresight (what will happen). 

Response & Delivery

We collaborated with the business to design and implement a data use & governance programme, underpinned by a cloud-based data lakehouse, delivering several benefits. We established a Single Source of Truth by migrating and structuring data from multiple systems into a scalable, centralised data lakehouse, ensuring consistency and accessibility. A Data Governance Framework was implemented to define ownership, accountability, and quality controls, maintaining integrity and trust. To drive cultural and organisational change, we provided training and engagement, helping teams adopt a data-driven mindset. Finally, we enabled advanced analyics and AI readiness by implementing real-time dashboards, predictive analytics, and AI-driven insights, supporting smarter decision-making and improved efficiency.
