The Brief:
We were engaged by the client to ensure that their technology delivery team are able to scale up, with the right capabilities and operating model to deliver their ambitious strategy, enabling them and the stakeholders they serve to benefit from market and technology leading digital capabilities and solutions.
Response & Delivery:
nordstar* designed and developed a strategic delivery operating model which enabled their technology solutions team to grow from 50 to 250 people without losing their core essence of adaptability and innovation. By embedding ourselves within the organisation and interviewing key stakeholders, subject matter experts and customers, created a rich and insightful baseline report which had broad agreement of its validity. From this strong baseline position we were able to assess the gap between the current and desired future state leading to the development of a bespoke process, organisational structure and governance model tailored to the specific requirements of their organisation.
The Impact:
Our project underpins their ambition to grow in scale in order to meet the needs of an aggresively expanding partner business supporting growth from £60M to £300M over the next 5 years. In parallel to this transformation programme, nordstar* supported and advised in the production of a £30M bid for investment and collaboration from universities, industry and government bodies to establish an innovation centre to support the growth of a technology hub in Belfast.
